| ATLANTA -- Rocky Butler and Dixon Fleming, Managing Partners at Core Point Partners are pleased to announce that Deby Glidden has joined the firm as a Managing Partner. Core Point Partners traces its roots to 1997 when Core Point Capital, LP started a turnaround investment fund. With offices in Atlanta and Charlotte, Core Point Partners is focused on turnaround consulting. Core Point Partners' niche is companies withrevenues of $20 million to $250 million, including manufacturing, distribution, service, retailand real estate. Performance issues can range from underperforming to losses and bankruptcy. Rocky Butler co-founded Core Point Capital's turnaround equity fund. Prior to co-founding Core Point, Rocky served as the Managing Director of ING's TurnaroundAdvisory Group which provided advisoryservices and investments to distressed companies. Rocky currently serves as CEO of one of theFund's former platform entities, Alliance Precision Plastics Corporation. Alliance Precision Plastics Corporation is the resultant company of three acquisitions through the bankruptcy courts, the first dating back to 1998.Rocky's experience includes restructuring numerous companies, primarily manufacturing and processingconcerns, as well as a foreign brokerage, insuranceand banking group. Rocky earned his BS in BusinessAdministration from East Carolina University and his MBA from the University of Southern California. Dixon Fleming, also a co-founder of Core Point Capital's turnaround equity fund, is an investor innumerous companies in various industries where he has served as principal, advisor andboard member. He is the former Chairman of Carolina Pottery, a concept and company he co-founded in 1983, later sold, and in2001, repurchased through the U.S. Bankruptcy Court at a Section 363 auction sale. Dixon iscurrently a partner at Casto, a real estate development company with offices in Columbus, OH, Sarasota, FL and Charlotte and Raleigh, NC. Dixon founded Factory Stores of America, a NYSE traded REIT, andserved as its CEO until 1997. Dixon was named Entrepreneur of the Year in 1995 by Inc. Magazine andErnst & Young. He received his BS in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina. Deby Glidden was an investor and served on the Advisory Board of Core Point Capital's turnaround equity fund. She founded Cumberland Capital Co., an intermediary and turnaround consulting firm, and has merged that practice into Core Point Partners. Her experience includes turnaround advisory work, both financial and operational, for Core Point's portfolio companies as well as independent projects. She has been a VP of several regional banks and finance companies, with more than 30 years of total businessexperience. Deby earned her BA in Philosophy from Wheaton College where she currently is Vice Chair,and her MBA from Boston University. |
